Okay, we know, we know, it’s shameless self promotion. We will be using the increased traffic from our website to fund this donation. We will be sending Red Cross the check for the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami.
UPDATE: We forgot to add what we’d do if someone were to “like” the post. We will combine the reblogs and likes we got from our last post along with the reblogs and likes we get from this post.
We wish we can donate more, but it’s all we can handle. If you would like to donate directly to the cause, please click here.
We will be donating 1 cent per every reblog, 1 cent for every like and 5 cents per every new follower we get. We’ll be sending the check to American Red Cross.
Email us at what@viaSQUARED.com for any questions regarding this.
Everyone, reblog and like this please!

So I stand before You God
I lift my voice because you set me free
So I shout out your name from the rooftops I proclaim
That I am Yours, I am yours
Leading worship at a Presbyterian church is kind of draining sometimes. The Presbyterian church is a branch of Calvinism, so their worship is fairly based around structure rather than the openness of worship to let God flow through your heart. Although, my church is a Presbyterian church it seems to be changing for the good.
My home church is labeled a Presbyterian church, but is fairly contemporary. Although contemporary worship at the church is very stagnant. This is what makes it prevalent that I am still leading Presbyterians. I had gotten to the point where it was becoming difficult for myself to focus on God and let go while leading due to the structured format which keeps the Presbytery attention. I also started to feel that the congregation was lacking the willingness to open up to God during worship and come to him as we were meant to. It started to drain me, and make me loath going to practice and church in the mornings. I felt a calling to find a new church. Lately things seem to be changing.
The last couple weeks have been encouraging for the church. The pastor whom I had previously seen as losing his touch in his messages shocked me. He started preaching a series about losing your religion, and seeking Jesus rather than the system. The worship began to become more open as well. I could personally feel myself worshiping. I see more people opening up their hearts every week, though the number is very small.
I just pray that this church will submit to the power of Jesus and what he calls us to in worship, and that it will become a place which utilizes their tools to vertically worship rather than watch a band.
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:23
